Production

Hydrogen has emerged as a versatile and emission-free energy vector to catalyse decarbonisation across a multitude of sectors, and at the base of the hydrogen value chain lies low-carbon hydrogen production. The production of green hydrogen encompasses several methodologies and processes, each presenting its own distinct advantages, applications, and challenges, requiring careful deliberation and coordination between developers, manufacturers, stakeholders, and policy makers to make smart technological investment-driven policy decisions for mass deployment and commercialisation to ease the transition into a Net Zero global economy. This section will discuss different green (renewable energy) and pink (nuclear energy) hydrogen production processes, underpinning critical challenges and technological advancements required to enable widespread technology adoption.
