Cross Cutting UK Academic Capability Mapping encompasses the academic research being conducted in the UK within the entire hydrogen value chain, without limiting to specific hydrogen technologies. In real terms, several hydrogen technologies can come under the umbrella of one or multiple subject matters. The selection of these subject matters was done based on a bottom-up approach, where the keywords from individual technologies were grouped to define these subject matters. A new search was then conducted with the keywords from different technologies grouped under the umbrella of these overarching subject matters. Thus, this section will describe the UK hydrogen value chain capabilities and cross-sector and cross-technology skills transferability within the UK academic circle.
